This 2-bedroom backyard suite built on a rental property in the SW community of Haysboro takes cues from the property lines to generate its unique form and roof line.

The new suite provides a sheltered side entrance for the occupant, and separate garage spaces for the suite and the existing home on the property. Window openings along the sides of the suite are strategic to capture light while maintaining privacy, while a covered balcony looking onto the lane offers both occupants and passersby opportunities for neighbourly connection.
